The last few years have reshaped our understanding of what artificial intelligence can do. Not incrementally, but structurally. Models that once struggled with narrow pattern recognition now reason across domains, compress vast bodies of knowledge, and interact with the world through language, images, code, and decisions. What has changed is not only algorithmic sophistication. It is scale, and scale has a habit of turning quantitative improvements into qualitative shifts.
